Inquiry Based Learning in the Sciences Conference 2011

This conference focuses on inquiry based learning in the sciences with particular links to the Queensland and Australian science curricula. Presenters are innovators in the field of science education who are passionate about science and this shows in their students. Come along to gain practical tips and new insights into infusing inquiry into your teaching and learning to enthuse your students. A range of scientific equipment and resources will also be available for viewing and purchasing during the trade displays. The keynote speakers for the conference are Dr Gwen Lawrie, UQ, a chemist and educator passionate about effective ways to teach chemistry and Dr Gillian Kidman, QUT, a writer on the Australian curriculum who will provide insights into the construction and intent of the Australian curriculum.
