Earth science is all around us. It means different things to different people but it influences our lives on a daily basis, and many of us barely notice it.
Geoscience Australia is looking for a collection of ‘Top GeoShots’ to display throughout Earth Science Week, 14 – 20 October 2012.
Who better to create those images than you? Take an image that captures the essence of Earth Science in Australia. So get out there, explore and don’t forget your camera!
The two categories for this year’s competition are:
Email your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 22 September 2012 along with a completed entry form and you could see your image feature in Geoscience Australia’s public foyer in Canberra.
Top GeoShot is an event which will take place in the run up to and during Earth Science Week at Geoscience Australia. Entrants will be asked to take and submit a photograph taken in Australia that captures the meaning of Earth Science.
A panel of Geoscience Australia staff will select the winning images. Winners will receive a professionally framed enlargement of their image.
Entries will not be considered valid without a completed registration form. Completed forms should be emailed to Geoscience Australia along with digital image(s) (no larger than 2MB) to email@example.com.
