The numerical computation resource builds on knowledge and understanding, while assessing student ability to read and understand the type of mathematics encountered in a technical or trade training course, or on the job either in technical or trade positions.
This assessment activity could be presented to students during a unit on mathematical development, after students have completed more traditional questions. The short assessment activity allows students to make connections with mathematics that will be experienced in the technical & trades areas of the resources sector.
